Chapter 8 from the Ling Shu:

«All diseases are rooted in the spirit.»

Chinese medicine is a millennium old self-contained system which is used for the treatment of all diseases. Chinese medicine sees each person as a whole. Body and mind are an inseparable unity.

«Our diseases and their symptoms are an expression of our imbalances.»

From the point of view of Chinese medicine, diseases are not always accidental but often an expression of our state of being. The aim is to treat the cause of a disease and not just to make its symptoms disappear.

In addition to a detailed interview, a diagnosis is made with the help of pulse and tongue. The treatment is done with acupuncture and/or herbs. Other treatment techniques include Cupping, Gua Sha, Moxa, Essential Oils, Massage and Dietetics.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture points are stimulated with the help of needles. This stimulates the body to self-regulate.

Chinese Herbs

Herbal, mineral and other natural substances are combined to make a customized recipe. We thus support the healing process.

Cupping

When cupping, we create a vacuum which eliminates cold and relaxes the muscles. The blood circulation and the metabolism  are benefited.

Gua Sha

With this technique we bring deposits and heat inclusions in the tissue to the surface. They're disposed of by the body. We optimize the metabolism and blood circulation and relax the muscles.

Moxibustion

Moxa treatment warms acupuncture points or whole areas with the heat from burning mugwort. It strengthens energy and eliminates cold.

Essential Oils

High quality plant essences are mixed to an individual recipe. By applying them to acupuncture points, they act through the skin. This method is also especially suitable for children.

I have been in private practice in Horgen since 1997.
